“Important Information about 'Gift Aid'...”
We have now had confirmation from the tax office that we able to claim Gift Aid on subscriptions and donations we have received from December 2007, and will receive here on in.
Gift aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. The Inland Revenue treats these payments as if the donor had already deducted basic rate tax from them. We can then reclaim this tax to increase the value of a donation from you (for every pound you donate we can currently claim an additional 25p from the Inland Revenue).
You should have been written to asking if you are happy for us to claim gift aid on your donation and patron subscription. We enclosed a form for you to complete, to give your permission.
Please return the form giving your permission to Mrs Clare Tate, Centre Stage Treasurer
“Car Treasure Hunt...”
